I’m only sharing tweets for those who are not on twitter and can’t see how passionate and outraged journalists are as they tweet from #Ferguson.

If you are on Twitter, here’s a good roster of people to follow if you want to keep updated.

Episode One: Currents Events

Join Mat, Kyle, Quinton, Eli, and Andrew for the inaugural episode of the Fun Angle Podcast!

We discuss news from Ferguson, Scotland, and the acquisition of Mojang Studios by Microsoft, share our thoughts on Destiny, some games we’re excited about, and the newly released Dungeons & Dragons 5.0

GUYS! We just put up our first episode of the podcast!

Obviously it’s a bit rough around the edges, but I’d love it if you could all give it a listen and send us your feedback!

It’s time to officially retire #funemployment 2K14. I just heard back from TWO different jobs that both want me!

I’ll be posting more details shortly!

I’m considering launching a trans writing project. The idea is a tumblr where everyone under the trans umbrella would be welcome to submit fiction (or non-fiction), no matter their skill level, about trans characters or their experiences regarding being trans etc. Whatever they want. I just thought it would be nice to have a community specifically for trans people & creative writing.

It’s something I’ve been thinking about for some time, but I probably wouldn’t really have time to moderate such a community by myself, so I’m looking for potential moderators to help.

I think I’d like two to start with, preferably a non-binary person and a trans woman. I would like at least one dmab trans person involved. It’s preferable if you’re a writer, but a keen reader may also be considered (as a lot of moderating will be reading content).

Moderators would be responsible for reading submissions and making sure that they are within guidelines (which we can draw up together) and tagging triggering content appropriately. You may also be responsible for answering asks, but I’m not really looking to make this an advice blog (if we start getting a lot of asks for advice, we could always set up a separate blog). Submissions should not and will not be judged on spelling or grammar, we’ll be screening for troll posts & unacceptable or oppressive content.

Moderators will have to be comfortable with working closely with myself (a trans guy) and one other person (perhaps more if it takes off) both on tumblr and using private messaging (Skype).

The tumblr I have set up is transpeoplewrite, so if you’re interested in a trans writing community, please feel free to follow (although nothing is set up yet and it might take a few weeks to get started).

If you are interested in being a moderator, please send me an ask or you can e-mail me at feministroosterteeth@gmail.com

A signal boost would be appreciated!

True story; this officer (John Pike) got a settlement of $38,000 because he said he got depressed after pepper spraying these kids. Oh, the depression wasn’t for feeling remorseful for pepper spraying a bunch of college kids peacefully protesting. He got depressed because he said since the media kept playing the video of him pepper spraying peaceful kids without cause, he got threats and didn’t feel safe. He didn’t feel safe. I’m not making that up. This motherfucker collected nearly 40 grand on worker’s comp after assaulting a bunch of college kids.

I hate when people I care about are sad and there is nothing I can do. It’s such an awful feeling.
